Horse And Livestock Facilities
Have a boarding facility and need more stalls? Have a horse facility where you put on shows or events and need an arena? Maybe even more overnight stalls? We have options.
The easiest pipe fence you can install. Continuous fence is a permanent fence option. Designed to be mounted on permanent posts (Wood or Metal). The panels come in 20’ sections. One end has a male end and the other side has a female end so they slide right together.
We offer a 4 rail, 5 rail, and 6 rail continuous fence panels.
The panels themselves are 48” tall. They are designed to be lifted off the ground 1 foot and mounted to the posts to get you a 5 foot tall fence.
4 rail continuous fence has 14 ¼” rail spacing, 5 rail continuous fence has 10 ¼” rail spacing and 6 rail continuous fence has 8 ¼” rail spacing.
4 rail continuous fence weighs 80LBS, the 5 rail continuous fence weighs 100LBS and the 6 rail continuous fence weighs 120LBS each.
Continuous fence is made out of 1.25” X 14 gauge RAW steel (Not Galvanized or coated) rails. We weld on 5 vertical flat straps every 4’ to give the panel structure. The flat straps are 1 ” X 3/16 ”.
We add in a 1’ sleeve insert that is welded to each rail. The 1” sleeve insert extends 3-4” out of each rail for proper support.
There are a few ways the panels can be mounted. We offer a bracket system for wood or metal posts or they can be welded on metal posts.
We offer self drilling screws with the bracket system that allow you to drill into metal posts. We recommend this option for the standard and mid grade posts. When using the heavy duty posts you may have to pre drill the holes to mitigate breaking screws.
Continuous fence can be welded directly to metal posts. Focus most of the heat from welding towards the posts, not the rails.
Continuous fence must be mounted on permanent or stationary posts. T posts have too much flex and are not the proper way to install continuous fence panels.
There are a few ways to do corners. The options will depend on if you are welding the panels up or using the bracket system. The most common way to do corners when using the bracket system is to extend one panel past the post 1.25” and then run the panel from the other side directly into the first panel. This way will require the panels to be run on the outside of the posts or fence line.
The sleeve joints do not need to be welded when the panels are securely fastened to the posts; it is an option though if you really want to.
On slight elevation changes continuous fence panels can be flexed to accommodate the flow of the ground. On drastic elevation changes you will need to cut and weld the panels to accommodate the flow of the ground.
On slight elevation changes continuous fence panels can be flexed to accommodate the flow of the ground. On drastic elevation changes you can move the next panel down to the next rail to accommodate the steep flow of the ground.
We have some clients install continuous fences on their own. Most commonly it's done with 2-3 people.
Continuous fence panels, posts and hardware can be painted. We recommend going to your local hardware store and talking to their painting department. Let them know that you are painting metal outside and that you are looking for the best paint and primer to do that.
You sure can. It’s most commonly run on the outside of the continuous fence panels so that it is easy to maneuver around corners.
