We bought a round pen for our equine sanctuary and then shortly thereafter we're informed we had to move. So we got our own property now totally unfenced. So for the time being this really rad round pen and chief and the other horses and burrows are using the round pen for fencing and it works. You know why? Quality and versatility. So we appreciate you. Thank you. Seven Peaks Fence and Barn.

Horse And Livestock Facilities
Have a boarding facility and need more stalls? Have a horse facility where you put on shows or events and need an arena? Maybe even more overnight stalls? We have options.
Horse panels are a portable and quick solution for making stalls, corrals, turn outs, round pens, arena’s and so much more. They simply attach together using panels clamps to make installation quick and easy.
We have 6 different options. We have 2 standard panels and 2 heavy duty panels which make up our main horse and corral panel product line. We also have a travel panel as well as a goat/sheep panel for your smaller horses and livestock. The 2 standard panels consist of our 4 and 5 rail panels and the 2 heavy duty options are our 5 rail and 6 rail options with our goat/sheep panels being a 7 rail.
All of our horse and corral panels are 10’ long. Our 4 and 5 rail standard panels and heavy duty 5 rail panels are 5 feet tall. We also offer a heavy duty 6 foot tall 6 rail panel. Our goat/sheep panels are 4ft tall and have 7 rails. We currently are not making any other custom height panels.
4 rail standard panels - 14 ¼ ” rail spacing
5 rail standard panels - 10 ¼ ” rail spacing
5 rail mustang panels - 10 ¼ ” rail spacing
6 rail mustang panels - 10 ¼” rail spacing
7 rail goat/sheep panels - 4” inch rail spacing at the bottom - to 7" inch at the top
Our standard panels are made out of 1 ¼” rails and 1 ⅝” posts. Both the rails and the posts are 14 gauge steel so in the horse panel industry that is a heavy duty option. With the standard panels we weld a 1” X 3/16” flat strap down the center of the panel for stability. These panels are made out of raw steel. They are not galvanized or coated.
Our heavy duty panels are made all out of 1 ⅝” material including posts, rails and middle support that is 14 gauge round steel. In the horse panel industry 14 gauge is considered heavy duty. Most other panel companies use 16 gauge as their heavy duty panels. These panels are made out of raw steel. They are not galvanized or coated.
Each of our horse panels and corral panels are attached using two 1 ⅝” X 1 5/8" panel clamps with nuts and bolts to secure to each other. You can watch the video of how they go together by clicking here.
The 4 rail standard panel weighs 53lbs
The 5 rail standard panel weighs 62lbs
The 5 rail mustang panel weighs 78lbs
The 6 rail mustang panel weighs 94lbs
The 7 rail goat/sheep panel weighs 78lbs
On the standard panels the rails are pinched about halfway to allow for a nice weld. On our heavy duty panels we notch all the tubing so that it all fits together nicely and for more strength.
Horse panels do have legs and stand well on their own as long as they are in a smaller circle or square shape. Our round pens and stall kits we offer stand well on their own and do not require posts. You can always add posts in the ground for extra strength and security purposes. When doing really long straight sections of horse panels, since they stand on the ground there isn’t anything to hold them up so you will have to add posts in the ground to properly hold those panels up. We recommend anything longer than 40ft have supporting posts.
You can use wood, metal or even t - posts to secure horse panels. T - posts are commonly used with horse panels because they are simple to drive into the ground and cheap. Your best post option for longer sections of horse and corral panels is going to be a thicker round 2 3/8" or similar post that you concrete into the ground.
We offer posts that you can concrete into the ground but that is not required. Concreting posts will provide the most strength and stability but you can also drive posts or t-posts into the ground. Driving posts may eventually come loose depending on your area and the type of soil you are dealing with.
If the panels do not get painted or coated in any way the panels will gain a surface rust since they are made out of bare raw steel. With how thick the steel is, the rust shouldn’t weaken the integrity of the panels for many years. How much rust your panels encounter depends on the area you live and how much moisture you receive. With any metal whether it's painted or not you will start seeing the most rust where the legs meet dirt and where it is exposed to moisture for an extended period of time. Dirt holds a lot of moisture which is why you see most panels rust out at the feet or bottoms first.
Yes, these horse panels can be painted. We recommend going to your local hardware store and talking to their painting department. Let them know that you are painting metal that will be outside and that you are looking for the best paint and primer to do that. We recommend cleaning the pipe well and doing a primer coat prior to painting for best results.
Our heavy duty panels were built around the requirements for the BLM listed below:
Minimum of 400 sq. feet of corral space per animal, i.e. 20' x 20’Suitable materials: pipe panels, wood posts, planks (min. 1.5" thick), horse fence (V Mesh or 2" x 4" square). Barbed wire and electrical materials will not be approved as part of the facility description
5-foot-high facility for yearling or gentled horses of any age
6-foot-high facility for an ungentle horse two years or older
4 ½-foot high facility for a burro of any age
Adopters will be required to adhere to the shelter requirements for wild horses and burros based on the state or region in which the animal resides, unless otherwise stipulated by the authorized officer.
We have many clients install horse panels and corral panels on their own. Most commonly it's done with at least 2 people.
